Sound Rings: Wax Carving Workshop at Ardgillan Castle

Discover how sound can shape design in this hands-on creative workshop. Guided by award-winning jewellery designer Genevieve Howard, you’ll explore how vibration and pattern can inspire form and transform your ideas into a wearable ring.

We’ll begin with a sound-inspired drawing warm-up, translating rhythm and voice into visual patterns. Using these as inspiration, you’ll learn the basics of wax carving to design your own ring. All tools and materials are provided, and no experience is necessary.

At the end of the session, you’ll have a unique wax ring model ready to be cast in silver. Casting is included in the workshop price, and your finished ring will be returned to you after professional casting and polishing. An extra fee applies if you want a second ring cast.
