'I have always been fascinated by the possibilities of visualising the unseen'
Genevieve Howard is an Irish artist, maker and musician from Dublin, Ireland . She graduated with an honours degree in Metals & Jewellery from the National College of Art and Design in 2015, studied Jewellery Design, Gold and Silversmithing at The Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp and has recently graduated with an MA in Fashion & Technology where she received a distinction, from the University of Art & Industrial Design in Linz in Austria.
The inspiration for her artwork is rooted in her background as a musician and singer. Up to this point, she has combined her experiences in this area and infused it into her art & design practice. As music and sound are mediums which exist as waves and vibrations through air, Genevieve has always been fascinated by the possibilities of translating these invisible materialities into tangible and wearable forms. She creates her distinctive sculptural pieces through a synthesis of handcrafted techniques with the latest cutting edge technologies. The materials which she uses to create her work range from the non precious like paper to reactive and precious metals.

Genevieve’s work has been exhibited nationally and internationally in major institutions and acquired for the collections of prominent museums worldwide, including the National Gallery of Victoria in Melbourne and The Dallas Museum of Art in Texas.
