We live in an ocean of sound which permeates our bodies moment by moment. As humans we are capable of producing sound. The sounds of our voices are individual and unique to each and every one of us. This work explores how the voice can be used as a tool to render visible the individuality of a person within a material and to further generate bespoke design. 

 

The parameters of generative circles were influenced by the designers voice to change their shape, creating layers over time through linking them with the frequency change of a vocal recording in real time within the visual programming environment VVVV. The drawings were recorded and rendered visible in the form of a wearable fashion object.

This piece is a visual representation of a voice layered in shape over time. Voice generated design is explored for the potentiality of a future where fashion and accessories are completely personalised.
